Welcome to RydeRobin ("RydeRobin," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the RydeRobin mobile application and related services (the "Services").
RydeRobin is a college-focused group travel coordination platform that helps students organize shared transportation and split travel costs with other students traveling to similar destinations. Users can create or join travel groups, communicate through in-app messaging, and coordinate shared transportation arrangements. RydeRobin does not provide transportation services, employ drivers, or operate vehicles.

1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
We may collect information you voluntarily provide when creating an account or using the Services, including:
- Full name
- College or university email address
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Payment information (card details are processed securely through Stripe and are not stored on our servers)
- Password and account login credentials
- Profile information
- Messages sent through the app
- Travel group details you create or join, including origin, destination, and travel timing
B. Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Services, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
- Usage information (features used, searches performed, groups viewed)

- Approximate or precise location information, if permission is granted on your device
- Push notification tokens used to send you alerts about group events, join requests, and other activity

3. Location Information
RydeRobin may request access to your device location to improve route matching and help users discover nearby or relevant travel groups.
We do not continuously track your live location, monitor trips in real time, or collect background location data after you stop using the app.
You may disable location permissions through your device settings at any time, though some features of the Services may not function properly without location access.

With Other Users
When participating in a travel group, certain profile information may be visible to other users in that group, including:
- Name
- Gender
- School affiliation
- Profile details you choose to provide
- Travel coordination information
Messages between users occur through the app.
With Service Providers
We may share information with third-party providers that help us operate the Services, including:
- Stripe — payment processing. Card information you enter is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy
- Geoapify — address search and route calculation. When you search an address or calculate a route, your input (including addresses and coordinates) is sent to Geoapify's API
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Analytics and security providers
These providers may only use information as necessary to provide services on our behalf.
Legal Compliance and Safety
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Protect the safety or rights of users
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms
Business Transfers

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including Stripe and Geoapify. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as RydeRobin grows and our Services evolve.
